The most beautiful smile I ever saw… was one of a stranger. I was meeting someone at a coffee shop, and took the time to read while I waited. I don’t know what made me look up. The table I chose was in a corner, giving me full view of the tables in front of me, and of any newcomers who were interested in occupying them. At the time, there was only one newcomer, and she took the table in front of mine. She only had a chance to put down her hand back before our eyes met, and we shared a smile.
It was a split second thing. A second of recognizing that a connection, even a random one, exists between strangers.
Kind strangers spreading their beautiful smiles.
