What I’m Watching #2

I’m trying to wrap up as many as I can before fall shows hit, because those are gonna be HUGE!

Well, I obviously missed that deadline… Anyway, I still thought it worth sharing a few of the summer shows I’ve watched.

Necessary RoughnessNecessary Roughness

This is one of the shows that has yet to fail me at season three. What I love about it is that it’s mature. It’s filled with real characters, that face real issues, and I just love it. This season in particular still followed our main characters, but in a new setting and situation, one that involves the handsome John Stamos. If you still haven’t seen this– what are you waiting for, friend?

Update: Devastated to find out that this show is canceled! Once again, WHY??

Really, this show barely needs any introduction, or recommendations for that matter. It’s good. It’s better than good. And it remains to be a favourite. And I want it back, please!

I have to admit, the main reason I’m even clinging to this show is because it has creator Eric Kripke’s name on it (creator of  the then-awesome but still addictive show Supernatural). There are some really nice, conflicting themes in the show, but for the most part, trying to keep up with the alliances and what-not can be a real drag. I do like the relationship between the niece and uncle though, and the season left off at a rather surprising (but not really that thrilling) end. Let’s see what season two has in store.

I’m still trying to catch up to this, but I’ve watched the old series, and thought that the new series wouldn’t even come close to it. Well, I was wrong. It is AMAZING. And I didn’t even get to the best arc in the anime!

This is such a cute, cozy, short, and cute anime. Really, I don’t know how else I can describe it. Except watch it and swoon at the beautiful animation and simplicity of the story.
